Walking along at a pace that’s not my own, down side roads and alleyways anonymous and alone. The diffident rays of a late day sun are splintered through the leaves as I slog along.

I found my voice but not much else — the search continues on. I’ve been gone so long this almost feels like home, but I’m sure I haven’t missed much. Let the past slip through my fingers and seep into the ground — I can’t set back.
